Amanda Bynes’ parents will request conservatorship!

Following the pant leg fire-catching incident, Amanda Bynes’ parents will be heading to court to seek temporary conservatorship over the actress’ affairs.

Somebody is at least trying to gain control in this situation!

Per E! News, Amanda Bynes’ parents, Rick and Lynn, are going to be in court on Friday morning to request a temporary conservatorship which would permit them control over their daughter’s financial and personal affairs.

Considering Bynes’ detainment on a 72-hour psychiatric hold after purportedly starting a fire (and catching her pant leg on fire!!) in the driveway of home near her parents’ residence in Thousand Oaks, California, on Monday, this legal action is not surprising.

If the actress’ parents can prove that Bynes is unfit to care for herself or handle her own affairs, the judge may give control to Rick and Lynn for the period of time the court sees proper.

Bynes’ little Pomeranian has already been handed over to the family for care while the actress remains on psychiatric hold.

This is strangely reminiscent of a head-shaving incident which led Britney Spears to being subject to a conservatorship request filed by her father. History repeats itself? Britney is doing amazing now, so maybe it will help Amanda as well?
