Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard’s ministry work has come under scrutiny before — when fans and critics alike blasted the couple for asking for donations — but Jill’s recent Instagram post has earned her a fresh wave of criticism.

Taking to Instagram last week, Jill posted a picture of herself, her husband and their son, Israel, along with a caption informing fans that they will be headed back to their TV screens — and critics are wondering how this will affect their mission work.
Jill wrote, “We are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone with the new specials on TLC—many have asked about our mission work and about the challenges of taking our family to a different country, culture and learning a new language. We appreciate your prayers. To keep up with us visit www.dillardfamily.com.”

But the Dillards have been slammed as “money hungry” and a “joke.”
“With all the time they’ll be spending in the states filming TLC ‘specials’ when exactly are they going to be ministering in the mission field?” user grammahollyg asked.
ellarose86 wrote, “This is such a joke. The SOS mission was a month long trip. The next one is not until 2016. Yet, you ask for donations!?! Sick. You never did a thing there.”
Another user, playsinrain, also shared an opinion on the family asking for donations, claiming they are money hungry.
“…Jill and Derrick for handouts for their extended vacations, and Jessa and Ben asking for gift cards from a list of favorite stores and giving addresses to send cash too (the dugger [sic] compound address). They are money hungry fame whores. Period.”

And the couple has also been criticized for studying instead of doing their mission work.
“Derick said, on their blog, that they’ve both been in language school, and Jill’s been studying for her CPM. That’s studying. They have done zero Mission Work, so far. They could have studied both of those right here in the U.S. But they chose to do them there, while living on donations,” one critic shared.
Of course, there are countless fans who are pleased that the Dillards and the Seewalds will be returning to TV, too. But most commenters are really concerned with whether the donations to this young couple are being accounted for properly.
