Dorinda Medley had every right to go off on Bethenny Frankel & Ramona Singer

If you saw Wednesday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York, you probably felt a multitude of emotions: Discomfort when Jules Wainstein gave herself a “mikvah” in a bucket of ice after touching shellfish at Dorinda Medley’s bra party; confusion as to why Medley was having a bra party; and of course, anger when Ramona Singer and Bethenny Frankel attacked Medley at her own party, seemingly out of nowhere, because they think her boyfriend, John Mahdessian, is a first-class douche.

As we all know, not everyone is a fan of Mahdessian, the dry cleaner from Queens who leaves a little something to be desired when it comes to manners. But dude! Dude. The utter disdain Frankel and Singer seem to have toward this man is a little unsettling — and it certainly leads people to believe that we’re not seeing the whole story here. It’s one thing to not like him; it’s quite another to go off as Frankel and Singer did when A) Mahdessian wasn’t even at the party, and B) no one was talking about it.

Since the show aired on Wednesday, things seemed to have only gotten saltier among Medley, Frankel and Singer. Medley went off on the girls on Twitter, and Frankel had no problem fighting back.

Initially, Singer tweeted to Medley, saying that she never meant to hurt her, and that set off a complete firestorm from Medley. Check out the exchange and Medley’s subsequent tweets:

Then, Frankel started tweeting and things got really nasty.

Then, a fan asked Medley if she hated Frankel and Frankel had the answer:

Frankel also intimated that Medley may have joined the show solely for the sake of, well, being on a show:

Annnnd things ended with Frankel blocking Medley:

Boom. Done. But here’s the thing: While Medley certainly flew off the handle (the way only Medley can), she was pretty much attacked at her party. And after watching the show, she obviously saw that Singer and Frankel were planning on doing this beforehand. How could she not be upset? Mahdessian’s uncouthness aside, why do Singer and Frankel hate him so much? There has to be more to the story — and if there isn’t, Medley had every right to get as upset as she did. Friends know when it’s appropriate to say something, and when to stay quiet and take the high road.

So far, we’re only two eps in and this looks like it could be the craziest RHONY season yet. Hopefully, as the season progresses we’ll see what Mahdessian did (if anything) to make the women dislike him as much as they do.

But one thing’s for certain: Frankel and Medley are done. And after a Twitter fight like that, it’s no surprise. Damn.

Did you think Frankel and Singer were out of line?
