The 2018 Women’s March was an undeniable success. Early reports indicate that this year’s protest had an even higher turnout than last year’s, on the day following Donald Trump’s inauguration.
This year, the speeches focused on voting and bringing women to the polls on Nov. 6 as well as issues like activism and #TimesUp.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand urged her New York crowd to vote: “If you care about winning back the House, flipping the Senate, then I urge you to support Democratic candidates all across the country. Whatever issue is most important to you, each one of you is an agent of change.”
Others, like Delegate Kelly Fowler of Virginia, encouraged women to take it a step further and run for office. “Last year I marched, then I ran — then I won.”
