All the Super Bowl Commercials That Have Already Been Released

The Super Bowl: an American tradition when we all gather round the TV, cheer on our favorite football team, pig out on hors d’oeuvres and bask in the glory of Super Bowl commercials. For some, the commercials are even more exciting than the game because advertisers who manage to snag a highly coveted spot during the event go all out to create prestige ads. In fact, I’d argue that seeing what companies come up with is part of the fun and excitement of the Super Bowl. So, considering just how much fun Super Bowl commercials really are, why wait until the Super Bowl when you can watch many of them now?

Blessedly, commercials for Super Bowl LII have been trickling onto the internet lately for our viewing pleasure. One by one, ahead of the big game, we have been treated to some of the most unusual, amusing and celeb-filled commercials currently made for TV. And it should be noted it also looks like we’re in for a really weird, emotional ride.

Although NBC’s reported price tag for a 30-second spot averages more than $5 million according to Sports Illustrated, companies and advertisers ranging from Budweiser to Skittles were clearly more than happy to pay up. What they came up with this year is really and truly next-level.

Without further ado, here are all the Super Bowl commercials that have been released so far.

1. Budweiser’s “Stand By You”

This one will really pull on your heartstrings. Set to “Stand By Me,” performed by Skylar Grey, this commercials speaks to the natural disasters of late. “It’s a real story,” Budweiser’s vice president of marketing, Ricardo Marques, told USA Today. “It’s about our people. We don’t have actors in this spot. We only have the passion of it.” The people he speaks of are employees from Budweiser’s brewery in Georgia, where they not only make beer, but also produce water under the company’s emergency water program. In addition to raising awareness, the commercial aims to raise money for the American Red Cross — where a portion of proceeds from Grey’s single will be donated.

2. Pringles

Hey, look; it’s SNL and Trainwreck star Bill Hader teaching us a few new tricks to eating Pringles — like “flavor stacking.”

3. Amazon’s “Did Alexa Lose Her Voice?”

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos makes an appearance in this ad in which he and his team have to come up with a replacement for Alexa, who’s lost her voice. The full ad — where you’ll see what or who the replacement is — can be seen on Super Bowl Sunday.

4. Febreze’s “The Only Man Whose *Bleep* Don’t Stink”

Not only do we meet Dave, the guy whose shit don’t stink, but Febreze will also launch a new social media campaign with the ad called #BleepDontStink.

4. Skittles

Skittles FTW! They’re releasing not one, not two, but five possible ads leading up to the Super Bowl. After watching these, you’ll not only see Friends star David Schwimmer in a completely new way, but you won’t even see the full ad during the game! As the YouTube descriptions for these video state: “Only one person will ever see the full ad. That person being Marcos Menendez, a teenager from California.” Watch all the teasers below.

5. Stella Artois

Stella Artois enlisted the help of Matt Damon to help bring awareness to the need for clean water in developing countries. If you purchase a limited-edition chalice, you will help Water.org provide five years of clean water to someone who needs it.

6. Squarespace

Keanu Reeves is just like us: He happens to be designing a website for his company, Arch Motorcycle, and apparently has chosen Squarespace to help him do it.

7. Doritos & Mountain Dew

A Peter Dinklage and Morgan Freeman throw-down is something we never knew we needed — until now. Even better: Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes make appearances too.

8. M&M’s “Human”

All you need to know about this ad is that Red (the red M&M) wishes to be human and becomes none other than Danny DeVito. Genius.

9. Tide

Remember last year’s Tide commercial with Terry Bradshaw? He makes a triumphant return this year.

10. Kia’s “Feel Something Again”

This one clocks in at just 15 seconds, and it really leaves you hanging. In it, you see Brazilian racing icon Emerson Fittipaldi and a mystery driver. The only clue we get to the driver’s identity is he or she wears black nail polish. Guess we’ll have to tune in to the Super Bowl to find out who it is…

11. Groupon’s “Who Wouldn’t”

After Tiffany Haddish went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to tell a hilarious story about taking Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith on a swamp boat tour she purchased on Groupon, she became the brand’s spokesperson. So it’s only fitting she’s in this year’s Super Bowl ad.

12. PETA’s “Redemption”

PETA’s Super Bowl ad, which stars American actor and activist James Cromwell, answers the question: What happens when a meat industry executive visits a priest for confession? Intriguing…

13. Lexus’ Black Panther commercial

This high-action ad sees Lexus team up with Marvel’s Black Panther. It features Chadwick Boseman driving the redesigned 2018 Lexus LS 500 F Sport.

14. Michelob Ultra’s “The Perfect Fit ft. Chris Pratt”

If you’ve been dying to watch Chris Pratt work out (and shirtless at times too), then Michelob has answered your prayers. In this ad, Pratt learns he has been booked for a beer commercial, so he promptly begins training. Thank you, Michelob Ultra. Just, thank you.

15. The newest trailer for Amazon’s Jack Ryan

The latest action-packed trailer for Amazon’s next hit show, Jack Ryan, shows off the best moments of John Krasinski’s (playing the titular character) performance. Krasinski is the latest actor to pick up the mantle of Tom Clancy’s iconic CIA analyst, following in the footsteps of Harrison Ford and Chris Pine.

16. The newest trailer for Hulu’s Castle Rock

Hulu is pulling out all the stops to promote their newest original series Castle Rock with this Super Bowl trailer. With an all-star cast that includes André Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy and Scott Glenn, the show is executive-produced by J.J. Abrams and is bringing the world of Stephen King to life.

Now that we’ve binged all these commercials, we’re eagerly awaiting Justin Timberlake’s halftime show during the Super Bowl on Feb. 4 at 6:30/5:30c on NBC.
