When it comes to love, Laura Prepon has it made onscreen and off! In the Season 5 finale of Orange Is the New Black last summer, her character, Alex Vause, snagged a proposal from her lover, fellow prisoner Piper (played by Taylor Schilling). Even better: Prepon just got hitched in real life to fiancé Ben Foster.

Prepon broke the happy news on Instagram Sunday, sharing a sweet snapshot from the pair’s special day. “Just Married! Thank you for all the love and support. Wishing all of us the good stuff!” Prepon captioned the wedding pic.

The couple first made their public debut in 2016 at the premiere for The Girl on the Train, and Prepon was already rockin’ an engagement ring. The following August, they welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Ella. Prepon and Foster have reportedly known each other since her days on That ’70s Show — he is close friends with some of Prepon’s costars from the nostalgic series, including Ashton Kutcher.

In January 2017, Prepon gushed to E! News about her future husband, calling him “the love of my life.” She also revealed that they hoped to have a small, intimate wedding but realized even then how difficult that could prove. “Our cast alone is like 50 people,” Prepon joked of her OITNB family.
No word yet on whether the newlyweds actually managed to keep their big day low-key, and it’s unlikely that any of Prepon’s OITNB castmates will be spilling the deets. The upcoming sixth season of the prison drama has so far been shrouded in secrecy. Although new seasons typically drop around this time each summer, a release date for Season 6 has yet to materialize.
Mere days before sharing her wedding photo, Prepon alluded to the other big day in her life at the moment — the day the new season finally drops.

She posted a picture in which Schilling’s Piper is sleeping and Prepon’s Alex looks listless and longing. The oh-so-apropos caption? “Waiting for #OITNB season 6 like…”

So real it hurts!
At least we have past seasons on Netflix to tide us over in the interim. And, of course, happy updates from the show’s stars help pass the time, too. Congrats to Prepon and Foster, and many wishes for a life filled with all of the “good stuff.”
