In typical newlywed fashion, LeAnn Rimes — whose Twitter handle is the same but formally calls herself LeAnn Rimes Cibrian — was all mush over her new husband, Eddie Cibrian. She gushed about him and her feelings of complete married bliss on Twitter over the weekend. “Eddie and I are overwhelmed by the amount of lovely well wishes. We are blessed and… I’m Mrs. Cibrian!!!!! So wonderful to wake up as husband and wife. Love to all of you,” she shared on Saturday.
Ugh. We get it. You’re in love. You’re so happy. Stop making us puke in our mouths from all the gooey sweetness, LeAnn! But girlfriend didn’t stop there.
On Sunday, Rimes tweeted, “Happy Easter Sunday my beautiful friends! Coffee… me the computer… Eddie the Sunday newspaper….waves crashing… holding hands… nice way to start it. My first Easter as a WIFE! GOD thank you for your goodness! May we all be blessed today and forever!” Her Twitter profile picture is of Rimes and Cibrian and her profile now includes the words, “WIFE. Bonus mom…”
After some of her followers reminded Rimes that this was actually not her first Easter as a wife — not by a long shot — because she was married to Dean Sheremet for, you know, eight years, she corrected herself: “I am beyond happy to have my first Easter as Mrs. Cibrian….ARE WE CLEAR…LOL.”
Rimes and Cibrian were married in a secret civil ceremony in Los Angeles on Friday night. The wedding was s surprise to their 40 guests, who believed that they were attending an engagement party for the couple. Their nuptials followed a short engagement, which they officially announced right after Christmas.
