French officials are reporting two terrorists dead, seven more in custody and potential attacks thwarted after a police raid in the Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis near the Stade de France, where one of Friday’s attacks took place. Seventeen men and two women are suing the Boy Scouts of America in what is believed to be the largest number of victims to ever sue the non-profit claiming sexual abuse by a Scoutmaster. Ridgefield, Connecticut, Scoutmaster Donald Dennis is accused of abusing the plaintiffs as children in the ’60s and ’70s. One victim alleges abuses occurred more than 1,000 times. The Scoutmaster died two years ago, and a BSA statement states that the organization was only made aware of the allegations last month. — NBC
4. Something’s fishy
If you feel like you just don’t get enough tuna in those little cans, join the club. No, really. A man is suing the Safeway supermarket chain in a potential class action, claiming they under fill their store-branded tuna cans, violating California’s Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Unfair Competition and False Advertising laws. The lawsuit seeks damages for anyone who’s bought five-ounce cans of Safeway Chunk Light Tuna in Water and Safeway Solid White Albacore Tuna in Water and aims to get some $5 million. 6. No fly zone
Two flights from the U.S. to Paris were diverted Tuesday evening due to bomb threats received after take-off. The Air France Flight 65 headed from Los Angeles to Paris was diverted to Salt Lake City, and Air France Flight 55, which departed Dulles Airport near Washington, D.C., was redirected to Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada. No one was hurt, and both threats are under investigation. — USA Today
