The busy mom’s spa treatment guide

Moms are busy ladies and unfortunately, pampering is usually the first thing they sacrifice when they’re swamped. We’d like to put an end to that, so we consulted Pamela Adami, Spa Director of the Corbu Spa & Salon in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to put together a go-to spa guide for all you busy mommas out there!

Everyday pampering

Most of us arrange spa appointments on a schedule. Whether we go for a monthly facial or a massage every four months or so, keeping track of our spa experience is always helpful since we lead such busy lives. But moms are usually so busy that they rarely, if ever, take the time to venture out for some pampering.

Everyday pampering is crucial, though, Adami says: “The best thing for busy moms to do is to take a little time out of each day to dedicate to themselves and their well-being. The thought of spending a day at the spa can be overwhelming to moms, especially when they don’t want to spend a lot of time or money on themselves. Some spa treatments are not as time consuming or expensive as one would think, and Corbu has 30-minute treatments that can fit right in with a mom’s schedule and budget!”

So whether you make the time for a monthly spa treatment or simply take 15 minutes to apply an at-home face mask or give yourself a DIY pedicure, don’t forget to take time for yourself, moms!

Money matters

We know, we know, spa treatments can really bleed your wallet dry! But they don’t have to. Special 30-minute spa treatments like those the Corbu Spa & Salon offers (think quickie massages and facials) are both time and budget-friendly and there are treatments like these at spas across the country.

All of the 30-minute treatments at Corbu are only $40, Adami says, making them quite reasonable for moms looking to save wherever possible.

“Corbu’s 30-minute treatments are designed for those who may not have the time or feel like they cannot afford to spend an entire day at the spa. Moms by nature are concerned for everyone but themselves, and they are the ones that need to be pampered the most!” Adami says. “These treatments are perfect for moms on the go in between all of the other things that they do throughout the day. It’s about taking a break and giving moms a minute to breathe and take advantage of the 30-minute miracle treatments we offer.”

Spa treatments like these just go to show that you can make time for pampering, no matter how busy you are, moms!

Trendy spa treatments

When moms do make it out to the spa, what are the best spa treatments for them to spend their hard-earned money on? Adami says that manicures, pedicures and massages are some of the top treatments for moms because they fit their lifestyles to a T.

“These treatments are some of the most beneficial to moms whose hectic lifestyles take a toll on these areas,” she says. “Running around after kids can do a number on the hands, feet and back, so these are great to relieve the tension and provide a quick sense of rejuvenation before getting back to the craziness.

DIY Advice

If getting out of the house is simply not an option, moms can still create a relaxing, satisfying DIY spa experience, Adami says. Her advice? Keep it simple: “A warm bath with your favorite scented candles is the best and easiest way to create a spa like experience in the home. Put on your favorite music, and treat yourself to a little pampering. You deserve it!”
