PLL‘s Troian Bellisario may have just dropped a big clue about the fate of her character, Spencer Hastings. After finally exposing the real “A”, the show is set to make a five-year time jump into the future, and Bellisario recently posted a picture to Instagram that seems to hint at where Spencer could end up.
As fans know, the ABC Family series will skip the Liars’ college years and pick up with them reuniting in their post-graduation and (hopefully) Charles-free lives. Details of where exactly each character will be after the time jump remain mostly under wraps, but the final moments of the summer finale did reveal that Hanna will be engaged and Ali will be married and a teacher. Now, we might’ve just gotten a new hint as to Spencer’s possible whereabouts.

Bellisario recently took to Instagram to post a photo from the set of Spencer’s new apartment. “Details of Spencer’s new digs,” the actress wrote in the caption. As seen below, the picture shows a framed vintage train schedule for the London Brighton & South Coast Railway. Seeing the photo, we can’t help but wonder: Does Spencer somehow end up in England?

In the summer finale, we learned where all the girls chose to go to college. Spencer decided to head to Washington, D.C., to attend Georgetown. But this photo seems to suggest that she made it overseas at some point, either during her college years or shortly after.

If that’s the case, it wouldn’t be completely out of the blue. After all, her sister Melissa lives in London and Spencer previously stayed with her while visiting Oxford. She even managed to hook up with Melissa’s flatmate during the brief time she was there. Clearly, she can handle the London life.
Of course, there’s also the chance that Spencer likes the poster simply because it happens to have her last name, Hastings, on it. But on this show, every detail counts, so there’s definitely a chance the frame has deeper meaning. We’ll have to stay tuned to find out for sure.
