There’s a newly reconciled couple to give us hope that 2016 wasn’t a death sentence for every celeb relationship that we loved.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx, who have had a super-private romance going on for, like, three years, have apparently gotten back together after quietly breaking up in October.
They never went public with their relationship, but reports say that wasn’t a mutual decision. Page Six wrote that the breakup actually happened because, after three years together, Holmes got fed up with waiting for Foxx to admit publicly that they were a couple.
“Jamie wants to continue to act like the carefree guy he is in public,” an insider told the site. “Eventually, the question had to come about whether he was committed enough to the relationship.”

Now, sources close to both Holmes and Foxx say they’re happily back together.
But hold on.
Did they ever even actually break up?
Rumors have been flying around for years saying that part of Holmes’ divorce agreement with Tom Cruise says she can’t publicly date for some specific length of time. And considering Friday was the 10th anniversary of their wedding, it could be that the clause has finally run out. So maybe Holmes and Foxx never did actually break up, but they had to pretend to so Holmes wouldn’t violate her contract. Now that the contract may be up, they’re suddenly “back together.” It may be far-fetched, but the timing is a little too convenient, don’t you think?
