Die-hard Gilmore Girls fans know that no day in Stars Hollow began or ended without a visit to Luke’s Diner and lots of joe. Part of the series’ (and revival’s) appeal was to imagine living in that cozy world where Lorelai and Rory talk super-fast and constantly caffeinate at Luke’s.
The future is now. Scott Patterson, the actor behind Luke, is launching his own coffee brand. “We’re almost ready to launch, but we want to have our ducks in a row before we come out with it,” Patterson said in an interview.

Unfortunately for fans, the coffee will not be named after Luke (we assume he doesn’t have the rights), but rather will be called Scotty P’s Big Mug Coffee, and there’s no word yet on where it will be available and when we might expect to start drinking it in mass quantities.

The writing was actually on the wall. Last year, Netflix marked the release of the Gilmore Girls revival with Luke’s Diner pop-ups all over America, and they were a huge success. Why not make one aspect of that into a permanent (money-making) reality? We’re down.
