With all the TV revivals out right now, from Gilmore Girls to Fuller House, we thought maybe (please!) Dawson’s Creek would be the next on the list. But Katie Holmes squashed that dream in a recent interview with SiriusXM’s Just Jenny Show.

“I don’t think we’re going to do a reunion,” Holmes admitted when asked.
On the up side, there’s still hope for some reunion pictures, at least. Holmes did confirm that she and her Dawson’s Creek co-stars, James Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson, do “see each other every now and then.”
Dawson’s Creek ended its run in 2003 after six seasons on the WB. Holmes said that even though she’s “grown up,” she still has good memories from her time on the show.
“I think that the charm of the show was [series creator] Kevin Williamson’s writing, and it was of that time, and it gave teenagers this voice,” Holmes said. “It was a very, very special time — a special show, and I loved every minute of it.”

Earlier this year, Jackson said he would be open to the idea of the reunion but that it would be tricky.
“People always forget that Michelle Williams’ Jen character was killed off, so they really need to figure out a way around that,” Jackson said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I guess she could come back as a ghost, or they could do it like Dallas did and have someone wake up and find her alive in the shower 20 years later. That could work!”
Van Der Beek also echoed Holmes’ words during an interview with HuffPost Live back in March.
“Well, Kevin Williamson said he didn’t want to write it, and he didn’t think it would be artistically gratifying for the fans, which was all the excuse I needed to say. I can’t conceive of a scenario where people would think, ‘That’s so great. I’m glad they did it. That was totally worthwhile and not cheesy,'” Van Der Beek said.
